What the service does. Carbonless loads publicly reachable web pages with an identified browser agent, measures what they transfer, and publishes the result on a public report page. Submitting a URL instructs our crawler to visit it; you are responsible for the URLs you submit.

Acceptable use. Do not use the service to scan pages you have no right to access, to overload or repeatedly probe third party sites, to probe internal networks, or to evade the rate limits. Such attempts are blocked and logged, and accounts used abusively may be removed without notice.

Figures are estimates. Results come from a published model applied to a real measurement, and the methodology page states every assumption. They are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and are not a certification. Decisions made on the basis of a report are your own.

Badges. You may embed the badge for any page on a site you control. We may withdraw or correct a badge that misrepresents a measurement.

The service itself. It may change, rate limits may change, and it may be unavailable at any time. Reports may be re-measured or removed. These terms may be updated; the current version is always this page.
